Disclaimer
Last updated: October 12, 2026Information only, not professional advice
Financial Support Resources publishes general information about financial assistance programs, charities, churches, and public benefits. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax, or medical advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship. For advice about your situation, contact a qualified professional, a HUD-approved housing counselor, a nonprofit credit counselor, or your local legal aid office (you can search at https://www.lawhelp.org).
We are not a program or agency
We do not run any assistance program, accept applications, distribute money, or decide eligibility. Being listed on this site does not mean an organization has funding available, that you will qualify, or that the organization endorses us. Inclusion is not an endorsement of any organization by us.
Verify before you rely on it
Assistance programs change their funding, hours, eligibility rules, and phone numbers often, sometimes weekly. Each guide shows when it was last checked, but details can change after that. Always confirm current information directly with the program or by dialing 211 before you travel, apply, or make decisions based on our content. If a deadline is involved (an eviction hearing, a shutoff date, a benefits appeal), contact the agency or legal aid right away.
Beware of scams
Legitimate assistance programs do not charge fees to apply and do not guarantee grants. We will never ask you for a payment to receive aid. If someone claims to be from Financial Support Resources and asks for money or personal information, it is not us.
Advertising, sponsorships and our own products
This site is supported by display ads (including Google AdSense), sponsorships, tips, and a low-cost printable kit we sell.
-
Ads are served by third parties and are not endorsements. We do not accept sponsorships from payday or high-cost lenders, debt settlement companies, crypto offers, or "guaranteed grant" lead generators.
-
Sponsored placements are always labeled "Sponsored" and kept separate from our resource listings. Sponsors cannot pay to be listed as a resource or to change how we describe any program.
-
Our own products (such as the Behind on Rent Action Kit) are identified as ours, with the price shown. Free help is always available through 211, and nothing on this site requires a purchase.
